You Totally Rock. *Wink*

Humor

First off, the answers to this week’s Weekly Question of the Week were awesome.  I was a little concerned that “What the best rock band name you can come up with from news headlines?” might be a little esoteric or feel like a chore to those looking for a quick chuckle, a transitory guffaw.

But I was a fool to worry.  You all, and I say this with sincerity, rock.  But it’s time to announce the winner of last week’s finalists, and for you to vote on this week’s finalists!  It’s like democracy, except you like everyone involved!

Last week’s question was “What benign question becomes most disturbing with the addition of a wink at the end?” and – in a veerrrry close vote – the winning answer is “Do you take cream or sugar with your coffee? *wink*”  from Shoes On The Wrong Feet.

An especially impressive entry considering that she didn’t realize she was entering anything or what my Weekly Question of the Week is, thus proving that my self-promotion skills are as keenly honed as ever.  Congratulations, Shoes On The Wrong Feet, for being my Featured Blogger of the Week.  You’ll have a little box on the main page, as soon as I get around to it a little later.

Please, also take a moment to vote for this week’s current-event-rockin’ finalists:

About The Byronic Man

Recently voted "The Best Humor Site in America That I, Personally, Write," The Byronic Man is sometimes fiction, but sometimes autobiography. And sometimes cultural criticism. Oh, and occasionally reviews. Okay, it's all those different things, but always humorous. Except on the occasions that it's not. Ah, geez. Look, it's a lot of things, okay? You might like it, is the point.

It was hard for me to choose, they are all just so very kick-ass. After reading this, I had both a transitory guffaw, a quite chuckle and a unattractive snort fit.

Tainted meat is excellent. I might have gone with Pink Slime had that been an offering. Girls like pink. Fun!

    Have a great weekend.

Your Blogger of the Week section is so much more impressive than mine (aside from the fact that its been weeks since I’ve had one). And you have contests and interviews and polls and whatever. Gosh, Byronic, how’s a technology-impaired post-menopausal woman supposed to compete. I need chocolate.

Seriously? I don’t even know how many times I’ve gone to your site lately to see how you set up your “Blogger Of The Week” in order to copy it. Finally I figured I’d just concoct something else until you had one again so I could copy it then. Well, thanks!

Wow! The last thing I won was a pair of New Balance shoes made from recycled plastic water bottles – which sounds cool but they look rather funky and the right shoe makes a strange thwoping noise when I walk. Being featured on your blog for a week, while maybe not as green as my plastic bottle shoes, is pretty darn sweet! I am honored.

Ok, I am off to vote. I am leaning towards Tainted Meat…

Tainted meat, kinda sums up the crew the Republicans have lined up, though they’re lining up behind Mittens. He’s already courting a Veep, Rubio from Fla. My choice would be Jeb Bush, remember him? He was the smart one. Mittens gets caught in a scandal (wink, wink) and it’s a Bush trifecta. Bloggers and stand up comics rejoice. The Democrats see the White House as a lock in 2016. Who said conspiracy theories are dead?

Yeah, W was just a place-holder until Jeb was going to run. There was actually a lot written about Jeb’s anger that is presidential “destiny” got derailed by little bro.
