Okay, we’re back on track! It’s time to vote for some finalists, and crown a new Featured Blogger!
After a whole extra week to bask in the glory of your poetry creations, you voted – quite enthusiastically – for Skipping Stones’ meditation on the gentle art of ending a relationship:
This is just to say I thought about what you said I understand you need some space and I’m not angry anymore your stuff is on the lawn the fire is almost out your mom can’t wait to see you and your old room is just the way you left it *A lovely sentiment, and a lovely poem. So, congratulations, Skipping Stones, and I sincerely hope that we’ve never dated, or that if we did that it ended well. Please be sure to check out Skipping Stones this week!
And this week’s finalists from last Sunday’s question? You had so many ideas for buttons to include on WordPress I’m surprised we weren’t all hired as consultants. Alas, we will console ourselves with the knowledge that our blog-hosting site would be AMAZING.
Vote among the following and leave your thoughts, perhaps, on other ways we could improve things.

Awesome-sauce. Per usual.

Excellent. It’s low-sodium awesome-sauce, too, so you can feel good about it.

Angie’s is dead-on accurate and mighty hilarious.
May 12, 2012 at 7:17 am
Oh, I am deliberately not liking this post.
May 13, 2012 at 3:40 pm
That’ll show her!
May 12, 2012 at 9:25 am
Hah!
May 13, 2012 at 3:39 pm
Indeed.
May 12, 2012 at 10:39 am
Great contestants. I too am going with Angie. Not that I’ve ever needed to say that.
May 12, 2012 at 2:51 pm
Angie said she was going with me! She’s such a liar! *Sob sob sob*
May 12, 2012 at 3:45 pm
Angie is indeed a heart-breaker. But she won’t even know that we are hassling her because of the weird things word press is doing with comments. It’s like they don’t want us to band together and stage a coup.
May 13, 2012 at 8:08 am
Just what exactly is going on here between you two? Should I know about this?
May 13, 2012 at 8:16 am
Maybe. But because of Word Press’ new format, you never will.
Shame really. You might have been quite interested. Then again, you might not have.
I hate this Word Press crappppppppoooooooolllllaaaa
May 13, 2012 at 3:40 pm
Oh, crap, it’s Angie! Act casual.

“This post is not one of your best, but I love your stuff so you get a mulligan” is the button I’d add.
May 12, 2012 at 2:49 pm
In general, or right now… right here?
May 12, 2012 at 2:57 pm
No, I quite enjoyed this post. I’d actually like that button more for my own blog.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am truly excited to be the Byronic Blogger of the Week. I am deeply humbled, amazingly honored and extremely deserving. I’m a lot of -ly. Being a fledgling Byromaniac, I never expected to achieve such lofty heights so quickly. Clearly, I did not give enough credit to your excellent powers of discernment, nay, your intelligence, sophistication and superior taste. To those of you who voted for my poem, I thank you again and again. To those of you who did not, you are dead to me. But don’t let that stop you from visiting my blog, cause I’d love to see you over there! 🙂
Sincerely,
Skipping Stones

I drove up near the stock-yards this afternoon. I’m pretty sure I smelled you posting this comment.
May 12, 2012 at 5:03 pm
Haha!! You may have, at that. I try not to shovel it too deep, but I get carried away sometimes 😉
May 13, 2012 at 3:41 pm
You seem primed for a televised awards show. How are you at fake shock?
May 13, 2012 at 3:52 pm
Totally awesome, of course!
May 13, 2012 at 8:12 am
Yay! I’m so excited to be in the mix here and indicating I have at least once had this button go through my thought patterns. I can assure all of you bloggers whom I follow that this has never, ever, not even once, crossed my mind when I’m reading your blog.
(Never.) 😉
May 13, 2012 at 12:04 pm
Uh huh. Yeah.
May 13, 2012 at 12:07 pm
Hey, if anything, I should be banned from commenting on people’s blogs as I usually am one of the ones who writes the looooooooongest comment ever.
May 13, 2012 at 12:12 pm
And the best comments ever!
May 13, 2012 at 12:14 pm
Coincidentally, I was on your blog when I got notification of your replies. I was thinking of doing the ol’ “like and run” but now I have so much to live up to.
May 13, 2012 at 12:15 pm
The “like” is perfectly acceptable. In fact, I am posting on this very topic tomorrow!
May 13, 2012 at 12:21 pm
Alright! Bring it on. I rarely, rarely do a “like and run”. I think I might have to do it more in the future as I have less time now.
May 14, 2012 at 2:33 am
Oh loved all of them i hope wordpress takes notice
May 14, 2012 at 9:58 am
I just hope they get this “Disappearing Readers” and “people’s comments not registering” under control. Then they can tackle the the great buttons.
May 14, 2012 at 8:38 pm
I’ll split my vote into fifths and spread it equally among these awesome suggestions. Not sure I’m supposed to do that, but… you know… that kind of fraction work is what I’m bringing to the table.
