Byronic Man Goes On The (Virtual) Road

Humor

Quick note today: Recently Emily over at Snotting Black asked if I’d be interested in writing a guest post on the theme “I Immediately Regret Doing This.”  Well, I think she might be writing a post on immediately regretting asking me to guest post, because I didn’t think at the time that I’d be doing my “Choose Your Own Adventure” at the same time, so most of our correspondence goes:

Snotting Black: Hi, Byronic… uh… how’s the post coming?  Can I have it?

Byronic Man: I’M VERY TIRED AND I’M WORKING ON IT AND I DON’T KNOW HOW TO INCORPORATE THIS FUNNY QUOTE AND GET THE PROTAGONISTS OUT OF THIS PREDICAMENT AND THE POST IS 8,000 WORDS AT THIS POINT AND I’M VERY TIRED AND I’M WORKING ON IT.

But finish it I did, about a race I recently ran on the hottest day this summer.  So, you know, for Emily’s sake, drop by her site because it’s a terrifically witty blog full of cleverness and very little actual snot.  Also to read the post…

I’ll be napping today and talking about – among other things – the winner of last week’s Weekly Question of the Week tomorrow (still time to vote!)

About The Byronic Man

Recently voted "The Best Humor Site in America That I, Personally, Write," The Byronic Man is sometimes fiction, but sometimes autobiography. And sometimes cultural criticism. Oh, and occasionally reviews. Okay, it's all those different things, but always humorous. Except on the occasions that it's not. Ah, geez. Look, it's a lot of things, okay? You might like it, is the point.

I read it already, and very much enjoyed it. (And her blog, of course.) I have to say, I was shocked you were able to put that together; you’ve been so busy. You should probably take a break. But no more than 2 days, okay? 😀

Imagine a white room. Now imagine a large picture window with the ocean breaking on the shoreline. Now take a deep cleansing breath. Feel better? 🙂

Your half marathon sounds gruelling, I’m glad it was you & not me. I used to enjoy cross country running in school, but didn’t keep it up.
